About My Service
Inspired by the rich world of kimono patterns, fascinating history, colours and tradition, I decided to share my skills and knowledge with others. In 2018 I created INKIMONO — a professional portrait photoshoot service that also combines my kimono knowledge.
While we discuss the outfit for your photoshoots I often add some historical and cultural background of kimono! I believe that knowing what you wear, where it came from, what’s the story behind it, makes you appreciate it more and get even closer to Japanese culture.
CHOOSE YOUR PLAN
Every INKIMONO photoshoot is individually styled.
I own an extensive collection of authentic kimono, obi and accessories, including vintage, rare and high-quality pieces in a wide range of styles and levels of formality. I personally select the pieces for each client and create the outfit combination specifically for the person wearing it.
I do not repeat complete outfit combinations. The kimono, obi and accessories selected for your shoot are curated specifically for you, making your final look unique to your INKIMONO experience.
Plus-size kimono options are also available.
If you already own a kimono you'd like to wear, you are very welcome to bring it. The standard rate remains the same, or you can receive a ¥5,000 discount when you bring a complete kimono outfit set.

An authentic kimono experience
INKIMONO is a personalized portrait experience created by a professionally trained kimono stylist and photographer.
The focus is not simply on putting on a kimono and taking a few souvenir photographs. From selecting the individual pieces and dressing you to explaining the history behind your outfit and creating your portraits, every part of the experience is designed and carried out with care.
My goal is for you to leave not only with beautiful photographs, but also with a deeper appreciation of the kimono you wore and the culture behind it.
